The Ombudsman found that council for the Town of Pelham did not contravene the open meeting rules in the Municipal Act, 2001 when it met in closed session on March 26 and April 16, 2025 under the open meeting exception for personal matters about an identifiable individual to discuss potential candidates for vacant seats on council for the Town and for the Regional Municipality of Niagara.
