The following are speaking notes given by Ontario Ombudsman André Marin at the 2011 Law Union of Ontario Conference entitled, The Winter Of Our Discontent: Let The Right Not Prevail. Mr. Marin spoke about the G20 Toronto Summit (which occurred in June 2010) and civilian oversight of policing on a panel including Special Investigations Unit Director Ian Scott and Office of the Independent Police Review Director Gerry McNeilly.
