MEDIA ADVISORY: Ontario Ombudsman to release report on G20 security regulation: December 7
TORONTO (December 1, 2010) - Ontario Ombudsman André Marin will release his latest special report on Tuesday, December 7 – at a news conference at 1 p.m. in the Queen’s Park Media Studio.
He will report on his investigation into the origin and subsequent communication by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services of Regulation 233/10, passed by the province prior to the June 26-27 G20 summit meeting in Toronto.
Prior to the news conference, there will be a technical briefing for journalists from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Committee Room 228, where copies of the Ombudsman’s report will be available to the media (under embargo until the news conference). Senior members of the Ombudsman’s staff will be available to answer questions on background. Journalists who are not members of the Queen’s Park Press Gallery should go to Room 387A of the Legislative Building for passes, or call Gerald Christopher at 416-325-7922.
